Dr. Wendy Abigail is a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, specializing in women’s health and grey nomad diabetes research. She holds academic qualifications including a PhD, a Bachelor of Nursing (Honours), and certifications in education and diabetes management. Her research focuses on sexual and reproductive health, breast cancer, and innovative methodologies like mixed-methods and case studies. She has led multiple grants, including studies on rural women’s healthcare access and sexual/reproductive health promotion. Dr. Abigail is a recognized national and international speaker, presenting at conferences in Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. She chairs committees such as the National Council of Women Australia and has been involved in policy development, including Best Practice Guidelines for Termination of Pregnancy in South Australia.
