معرفی
Wendu Ding is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Wake Forest University. Their research focuses on developing theoretical and computational methods to study plasmonic materials, catalytic reactions, and energy transfer processes. The Ding Group investigates systems such as noble metal nanoparticles, supramolecular assemblies, MOFs, and electrolytes to advance applications in alternative energy and sensing.
Education: B.S. (2010) from Butler University, Ph.D. (2015) from Yale University, followed by postdoctoral research at Northwestern University (2015–2018) and MIT (2018–2020).
Research interests include light-matter interactions, electron transfer dynamics, and plasmon-coupled systems. Recent work emphasizes plasmonic nanorods for resonance energy transfer and computational studies of cation/pH effects in catalytic reactions.
Publications span topics like plasmon resonance engineering, biaxially chiral chromophores, and electrode-surface catalysis. The group maintains a focus on bridging theoretical insights with practical applications in sustainable energy and materials science.
