Weiming Liu

Dr. Weiming Liu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Language & Intercultural Studies at Dublin City University. His research focuses on technology-enhanced language teaching, Chinese as a foreign language pedagogy, and teacher education. He coordinates modules such as Chinese Language 1 (Beginners) and advanced language skills courses.

Research Interests: His work explores innovative educational technologies like VR, AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT), and social platforms (e.g., WeChat) in language education contexts. He also investigates teacher professional development and learner autonomy frameworks, including peer teaching and ZPD-based instructional strategies.
