Dr. Wei Jiang is a Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Associate Professor) in Accounting at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. She holds editorial roles on the Accounting and Business Research board and serves on the UK Endorsement Board’s Academic Advisory Group. Her research focuses on capital markets, corporate governance, and the impact of accounting information on firm policies.
Dr. Jiang earned her PhD in Accounting from the University of Manchester as a Dorothy Hodgkin Postgraduate Award Scholar. She previously taught at Warwick Business School and currently teaches financial reporting and financial statement analysis at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Her research interests include market-based accounting analysis, loss-making firms, dividends, CSR, and risk management. Recent studies explore CEO power dynamics, ESG incident impacts on investors, and board-level financial expertise in the insurance sector.
Dr. Jiang has external roles as an examiner at the University of Liverpool and Sheffield, contributing to academic governance and professional standards.
