Weber Andrea

Andrea Weber is a Professor of Economics at the Central European University (Vienna/Austria) and co-editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association. Her academic journey includes positions at the University of Mannheim (W3 professor), Vienna University of Economics and Business, and UC Berkeley as a Visiting Assistant Professor. She holds a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences from Vienna University of Technology (2002).

Research focuses on labor economics, public policy, and applied econometrics with emphasis on unemployment insurance, labor market policies, and family career dynamics. Notable work includes analyses of firm-level gender disparities, political influence on business outcomes, and precautionary fertility responses to economic shocks.
