Wayne Shand is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester. He specializes in urban development, institutional change, and street children's rights with a focus on African cities. His current research project 'Growing Up on the Streets' tracks 198 young people in Accra, Bukavu, and Harare using longitudinal methods.
