Wayne Morgan is an Associate Professor at the ANU College of Law, where he also serves as Executive Associate Dean (Education). As a pioneer in queer legal theory, his research examines law reform concerning gender identity, sexuality, and social justice.
Research Focus: Morgan's work critically analyzes legal frameworks regulating human sexuality and identity. Key areas include anti-discrimination protections, relationship recognition reforms, and the application of feminist/queer theories to jurisprudence. He has contributed to landmark cases and legislation including Tasmania's Relationships Act (2003).
Advising: Currently supervising PhD candidate Radhika Chaudhri on economic dimensions of domestic violence in private law. Teaches Property Law, International Law, and Law/Gender/Sexuality courses.
