Wayne E. Lee is the Bruce W. Carney Distinguished Professor of History at the University of North Carolina, with adjunct roles in the Curriculum in Peace, War, and Defense, and the Research Laboratories of Archaeology. His research focuses on early modern military history, global warfare dynamics, and archaeology in the Balkans. He holds a PhD from Duke University (1999) and teaches courses on military history, violence, and early English exploration.
