Dr. Wayne Bryant Jr. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine. He serves as Associate Director of the residency program (previously Assistant Director since 2022) and is co-chair/faculty sponsor for the Walk with a Doc program. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of South Florida and earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua. During his UAMS residency, he was Chief Resident and received multiple awards.
Research Focus: Dr. Bryant’s work centers on health equity for underserved communities, health literacy, women’s health, lifestyle interventions, and preventive care strategies. His research addresses systemic healthcare disparities through community-centered approaches.
