Shashank S. Kraleti, M.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. He serves as the Residency Program Director and CME Medical Director, holding the Jack W. Kennedy Chair in Family and Preventive Medicine. A graduate of Andhra Medical College (MBBS) and UAMS Family Medicine Residency, he completed the AFMRD National Institute for Program Director Development.
- Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Andhra Medical College; Residency in Family Medicine at UAMS.
Dr. Kraleti’s clinical and research interests include hypertension, diabetes, preventive care, behavioral medicine, and procedural training. He has presented at national conferences such as the North American Primary Care Research Group and STFM, and is active in public health education through media appearances and a newspaper column.
- Scientific Awards: New Faculty Scholar Award (2016), STAR Professionalism Award, AAFP Scholarship Award.
He leads a procedural half-day clinic, teaches residents and medical students, and previously implemented the night float system in his department. Outside academia, he serves as President of the Global Illumine Corporation, a non-profit focused on education, and enjoys music, movies, travel, and swimming.
