Wayde Martens

Wayde Martens is an Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry & Physics at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Faculty of Science. His research spans physical and analytical chemistry with a strong emphasis on nanotechnology and environmental applications.

Research Interests:

• Focuses on photocatalysis, nanomaterials synthesis, and environmental remediation including water purification and acid mine drainage valorisation.
• Key areas include energy storage materials (e.g., lithium-ion and lithium-sulfur batteries), surface chemistry, and sustainable resource recovery from industrial and mining waste.
