Warren Cook (he/him) is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Environmental Studies and a PhD Candidate of Communication (Rhetoric and Culture) at the University of Colorado Boulder. His academic work bridges environmental politics, rhetoric, and water justice in the U.S. American West.
- BA in History and Interdisciplinary Honors from Westminster University
- MA in Communication (Rhetoric and Culture) from the University of Colorado Boulder
Warren’s research examines the rhetorical strategies shaping environmental policy and water rights discourse, particularly in Western U.S. contexts. His work has been published in journals such as Environmental Justice and the Quarterly Journal of Speech, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement with environmental studies and communication theory.
His teaching focuses on environmental studies, emphasizing the intersection of rhetoric, politics, and justice. At the University of Colorado Boulder, he contributes to undergraduate and graduate education while advancing his PhD research in Rhetoric and Culture within the College of Media, Communication, and Information.
