Waleed M. Abuzeid

Dr. Waleed M. Abuzeid is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

• Education: Medical degree from University College London (UCL), post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, residency at the University of Michigan, and fellowship in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery at Stanford University.

Research Interests include the development of novel molecular therapies for head and neck cancers, bacterial biofilm research in chronic rhinosinusitis, and diagnostic techniques for aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease. His clinical expertise spans comprehensive care for sinus disease, skull base tumors, CSF leaks, and sinonasal allergy.

Publications highlight interdisciplinary work in molecular oncology, robotic surgery, immunology, and pharmacological sensitization of cancer cells to chemotherapy. Collaborative studies with the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University are evident in his bibliography.
