Dr. Wahyu Jatmiko is an Assistant Professor of Banking and Finance at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. He also serves as Academic Conduct Officer (ACO) for Postgraduate Programmes. His academic journey includes a PhD and MSc in Finance from Durham University, and a BSc in Economics from the University of Indonesia.
Research Interests: Sustainable Finance, Ethical Banking, Islamic Finance, Development Finance, and Digital Finance. Current work focuses on multidisciplinary frameworks analyzing sustainable investment, corporate ESG, microfinance, and banking ethics.
Teaching: Module leader for Sustainable Finance (MSc) and Climate Finance (BSc). Specializes in teaching sustainable finance principles and Islamic banking practices.
External Roles:
- Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (since 2019)
- Council Member of Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (2024–2026)
Collaborations: Engaged with institutions like the British Council, Indonesia Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, and NGOs on impact studies.
