Waheeda Lillevik is an Associate Professor of Management at the School of Business, The College of New Jersey. She specializes in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), cross-cultural management, and organizational behavior. Her research explores DEI policy implementation, global workforce diversity, and ethical leadership. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Resources and Management from McMaster University (2006), an MBA in Management and Labour Studies from the University of Windsor (1999), and a BCom in Human Resource Management from McMaster University (1997).
Her work spans 100+ publications, including book chapters on DEI strategies, cross-cultural communication, and expatriate stress models. Recent research focuses on minimizing microaggressions in education and equity-focused hiring practices. She has presented at conferences like the Academy of Management and Mid-Atlantic Organizational Behavior Teaching Conference.
Lillevik advises on DEI initiatives through roles such as Committee Chair for Inclusive Excellence (2023–2024) and Middle States Accreditation Committee (2022–2024). She received the Outstanding Reviewer Award from Equality, Diversity & Inclusion: an International Journal (2020). Her teaching includes courses on DEI, strategic HR management, and global business ethics.
