Wafa Ghermani

Wafa Ghermani serves as Assistant Professor at National Central University in Taiwan, with additional affiliations as Member of the Visual Culture Research Center at the same institution, Associate Researcher at CECMC (Centre d’études sur la Chine moderne et contemporaine) at EHESS France, and Board Member of the European Association of Taiwan Studies (EATS).

Her research specializes in Taiwan’s cinematic heritage and Asian cultural ecosystems, focusing on film archive restoration techniques, curation methodologies for classic cinema, and promotion strategies for cultural industries. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges film studies, cultural anthropology, and digital preservation, emphasizing Taiwan’s role in East Asian cinematic history and contemporary cultural production.

Dr. Ghermani actively contributes to international academic networks through her EATS board position and CECMC research collaboration, facilitating cross-strait scholarly dialogue on modern Chinese studies.
