W. Warner Wood is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM), specializing in cultural anthropology with a focus on heritage politics, tourism, and museum studies. He coordinates the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program and serves as an Adjunct Curator at the Milwaukee Public Museum. His research examines transnational cultural dynamics, particularly in Oaxaca, Mexico, and Northern India, exploring how material culture and ecotourism sites reflect contested meanings among stakeholders.
