W. Scott McGraw is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology at The Ohio State University, with affiliations in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology. He holds dual roles as a Collaborative Scientist at Yerkes National Primate Research Center and Co-Director of the Tai Forest Monkey Project in Côte d'Ivoire. His research focuses on primate behavioral ecology, evolutionary anatomy, and conservation in African rainforests.
Education: Ph.D. (1996), M.A. (1993, 1989), B.A. (1987) in Anthropology from Stony Brook, Alabama, and Northwestern Universities. Extensive postdoctoral training at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Research Interests: Primatology, functional morphology, primate locomotion, dietary adaptations, and conservation of endangered species like the red colobus. Key projects include Tai Forest primate surveys, mangabey feeding mechanics, and microbiome studies.
