W. Christopher Hale is a Professor of Criminal Justice and Program Director at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS), where he has served since 2007. He holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, an M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Emporia State University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Kansas State University. His research focuses on terrorism, cybercrime, and multiple murder, with notable contributions to counterterrorism analysis and ethical considerations in countering online extremism.

He previously served as Associate Director of Information Technology for the Institute for the Study of Violent Groups and taught at the International Law Enforcement Academy. Professional memberships include the American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
