Vu Vuong is an Economics Research Fellow and Contractor/Visitor at the UWA Business School, affiliated with The University of Western Australia. He holds a PhD in Economics from UWA (2022) and serves as a Senior Research Officer at the Telethon Kids Institute (affiliated with the UWA Centre for Child Health Research). His roles include tutoring in Health Economics, Introductory Econometrics, and lecturing in Macroeconomics for overseas programs.
His research focuses on health economics, applied econometrics, causal inference, and international development. He has contributed to interdisciplinary studies on development policy and aid effectiveness. Vu has received two postgraduate scholarships: the International Research Training Program Fees Offset Scholarship and the Dean's Excellence in FABLE PhD Scholarship.
His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and poverty reduction. He collaborates with institutions like the Telethon Kids Institute, focusing on child health research and interventional studies.
