Alix Woolard

Alix Woolard is an Adjunct Research Fellow in Psychiatry at the UWA Medical School and Research Fellow at the Telethon Kids Institute. Her work focuses on childhood trauma impacts, including medical, intergenerational, and culturally specific trauma in Aboriginal communities.

Research examines trauma response systems in educational settings, digital mental health (#TraumaTok), and interventions for vulnerable populations. Woolard co-leads childhood trauma research at Telethon Kids Institute, encompassing policy analysis and social-emotional wellbeing initiatives.

She contributes to projects like 'A parenting program to improve Aboriginal parent and child wellbeing' (ARC-funded) and publishes on social media's role in trauma discourse. Current studies analyze TikTok content related to transgender mental health and pre-service teacher training.
