Professor Athanasios Vozikis is affiliated with the Department of Economics at the University of Piraeus, where he holds the rank of Professor. He specializes in Health Economics, Healthcare Management, and Public Health, with a focus on integrating Information Systems and Digital Economy principles into healthcare frameworks. Dr. Vozikis earned his degrees from Panteion University (Public Administration), the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (Health Informatics), and the University of Piraeus (PhD in Health Economics and Information Systems). He has been a scholar of the I.K.Y. Foundation for both his M.Sc. and PhD studies.
His professional roles include Director of the University of Piraeus' Laboratory of Health Economics and Management, and he has served on the National Council of Public Health and as Chair of the Negotiation Committee of EOPYY. He contributes to academic governance as a member of editorial boards and scientific associations. His teaching spans undergraduate courses on Information Systems, Health Economics, and Environmental Economics, as well as postgraduate modules on Health Information Systems and Strategic Information Systems.
