Volodymyr Bilotkach

Volodymyr Bilotkach is an Associate Professor in Aviation Management at Purdue University, USA. He serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Air Transport Management (since 2022) and is on the International Editorial Board of Transport Policy. His academic career spans institutions in Ukraine, the USA, the UK, Singapore, and visiting roles in Korea, Germany, and Japan.

His research focuses on aviation economics, policy, and the commercial civil aviation sector, with over 40 refereed journal articles and a notable book Economics of Airlines (2nd ed., 2021). This book analyzes pandemic impacts on aviation while providing foundational industry economics insights. He has 15+ years of teaching and research experience at institutions like the University of California, Irvine; Newcastle University; and Singapore Institute of Technology.

Dr. Bilotkach advises governmental and regulatory bodies such as the European Commission, U.S. Department of Transportation, and Malaysian Aviation Commission on aviation policy issues. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arizona and Master's/Bachelor's degrees from the University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
