Việt Le

Việt Le is a Visiting Faculty Member and Artist-in-Residence at the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTU CCA Singapore) from April 2018 to March 2019. Affiliated with the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University, his residency focuses on research-driven artistic practices aligned with the Centre’s thematic framework of 'Climates. Habitats. Environments.'

His work engages with cultural and colonial histories of Southeast Asia and global geopolitics. As part of the Residencies Programme, he received studio space, stipend support, and collaborative opportunities with in-house curators and international peers. The residency emphasizes open-ended research, public dialogues through artist talks, and experimental creative processes.

Selected via a peer-nomination process by established artists, Le’s practice reflects contemporary art’s critical engagement with sociopolitical contexts. The residency panel included prominent figures like Ute Meta Bauer and Joselina Cruz, evaluating proposals for their relevance to regional and global cultural discourses.

Le’s affiliation with NTU CCA Singapore positions him within a dynamic interdisciplinary community fostering experimentation and knowledge exchange in contemporary art.
