معرفی
Dr. Vivienne Groner is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Microclimate Modelling at Imperial College London's Department of Life Sciences (Silwood Park), part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. She also holds an Honorary Research Fellowship at University College London. Her research focuses on climate-terrestrial biosphere interactions, biodiversity's role in ecosystem stability, and sustainable practices. She leads microclimate and hydrology components of the Virtual Ecosystem project, simulating complex ecosystems based on the SAFE project in Borneo.
She earned a PhD in Earth system sciences from the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (2017), following an MSc and BSc in Biology from the University of Hohenheim (2010–2014). Prior to her postdoc roles at Imperial and UCL, she worked at the Max Planck Institute (2017–18) and as a Research Assistant at Dr Laure Plasmatechnologie GmbH (2009–2014).
Her research interests include ecological impacts of climate change, conservation biology, and sustainable food systems. She advocates for campus sustainability through her role as a Silwood Park Sustainability Champion. Recent work explores ecosystem resilience, crop pollinator dynamics, and medicinal plant conservation under climate threats. Collaborations include open-source tools via GitHub for ecosystem modeling.
