Professor Vivek Shandas is a faculty member at Portland State University with appointments in the Nohad A. Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning (College of Urban and Public Affairs) and the Department of Geography (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). He is the Founder and Director of the Sustaining Urban Places Research (SUPR) Lab, a collaborative research space fostering interdisciplinary inquiry and community engagement.

The SUPR Lab supports externally funded projects and fosters interdisciplinary research on topics like urban heat, ecosystem services, and community engagement.
