Violetta Tucci is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in the Department of Political Science and Public Law, affiliated with the WHOCOUNT project. She holds a PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research from the University of Milan (2024). Her research focuses on social inequality, housing, poverty, work disadvantages, and territorial disparities, employing quantitative methodologies. Current work explores youth housing pathways, rental affordability, and the impact of socio-economic background on housing independence. She has conducted comparative studies on welfare policies across Spanish regions and early childhood education systems.
Her research also addresses pandemic impacts on social care systems, women’s empowerment in community childcare, and professionalization dynamics in social innovation sectors. Tucci has contributed to policy analysis on youth labor market challenges and territorial disparities in welfare provision. She collaborates with institutions like the IGOP and ResearchGate, maintaining active academic engagement through publications in journals like Journal of Youth Studies and Journal of European Social Policy.
Key projects include the WHOCOUNT initiative examining housing and poverty intersections. Her work bridges academic research with policy-relevant insights, emphasizing equity and social innovation in public service delivery.
