Laman Orujova

Laman Orujova is a postdoctoral researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona's Department of Political Science and Public Law, working within the WHOCOUNTS project. She holds a PhD in Economics from NOVA School of Business and Economics, Lisbon (2023) and an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Manchester (2015). Her research focuses on poverty measurement, multidimensional poverty, inequality of opportunity, and fairness, with a particular emphasis on integrating population preferences into policy frameworks. She has conducted extensive work on deep poverty in Europe and the role of circumstances in poverty dynamics.
