Iñigo Aldama

Iñigo Aldama is a postdoctoral research fellow at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Spain, affiliated with the WHOCOUNTS project. He holds a PhD in Social Policy from University College Dublin (Ireland), where he was an Ad-Astra Pre-Doctoral Researcher. His research focuses on Welfare Politics, Social Policy, Regionalism, Family Policy, Political Economy, and Mixed Research Methods.

His work examines intersections between public policy and societal structures, with recent emphasis on child poverty in Germany and the role of media in regional autonomy processes. Current projects include the EU-funded WHOCOUNTS initiative addressing social inclusion.

Publications span peer-reviewed articles and book-length analyses, combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Active on academic portals including ORCID and the UAB Research Portal.
