Vincenzo Vitale is a Lecturer at the Department of Italian Studies, University of Basel, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. His research spans Dante studies, medieval and modern Italian literature, literary theory, and intersections between literature and figurative arts. He has held leadership roles, including Head of the Italian Literature Section (2022-2023), and is actively involved in teaching and doctoral supervision.
