Vincenzo Corbo

Vincenzo Corbo serves as an Associate Professor in the Innovation Biomedicine Department at the University of Verona's Department of Medicine. His research focuses on functional validation of genetic alterations in cancer genomes, with specialization in gastrointestinal and pancreatic neoplasms.

His research spans Cancer Biology, Organoid Technology, and Personalized Medicine, specifically targeting pancreatic cancer mechanisms and genomic validation. His work integrates organoid culture systems for preclinical drug discovery, emphasizing precision diagnostics and tumor heterogeneity.

Dr. Corbo coordinates the PhD program in Inflammation, Immunity and Cancer and serves on multiple academic committees including the PhD School Board and Quality Assurance boards. His research group focuses on Medicina diagnostica di precisione e personalizzata (Precision and Personalized Diagnostic Medicine).

His laboratory work centers on pancreatic cancer organoid models developed during his postdoctoral fellowship at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory under Dr. David Tuveson.
