Dr. Vincent R. Ogoti is an Assistant Professor at Clemson University’s College of Arts and Humanities, jointly appointed in the Department of English and Interdisciplinary Studies. His research focuses on biopolitics, subjectivity, and postcoloniality within global Black literature and culture, with additional expertise in cultural studies, science fiction, and African/African American literature.

Dr. Ogoti’s scholarly work bridges literary analysis and social critique, examining themes such as transnational identity, aurality in postcolonial narratives, and the politics of storytelling. His recent publications analyze works by Yaa Gyasi, Aimé Césaire, and Chinelo Okparanta, while his creative output includes plays like A Shadow in the Sun (2019) and the forthcoming Masks for the Soul (2026).
