Julie-Françoise Tolliver is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Oklahoma. She serves as Senior Faculty Fellow for Arts and Humanities Research at the CFE and Assistant Director for Grants and Fellowships at the Arts and Humanities Forum. Her research focuses on world literature, postcolonial studies, and North American studies, with a particular emphasis on Francophone literatures and global solidarity movements.

Research Highlights:
Her monograph The Quebec Connection: A Poetics of Solidarity in Global Francophone Literatures (2020) examines textual linkages among Quebec, African, and Caribbean Francophone writers from the 1950s–1970s. She has co-edited a special issue of Journal of Postcolonial Writing on Black diasporic solidarities during the Cold War and published articles on authors like Aimé Césaire, Ousmane Sembene, and Denis Villeneuve. Her current project, Burning History: Fire in North American Literature and Film, explores wildfire narratives through a humanistic lens.
