Vincent J. Shea II is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accountancy at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, St. John’s University. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Kent State University, an MBA, and a BBA in Accounting from the University of North Florida (UNF). His research focuses on Business Valuation of Information Technology (BVIT) and Activity-Based Costing (ABC), with publications in journals such as the Journal of Information Systems and International Journal of Accounting Information Systems. He teaches courses in Accounting Information Systems, Accounting Analytics, Forensics, and Enterprise Resource Planning.
Prior to his role at St. John’s, Dr. Shea taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor at UNF and a teaching fellow at Kent State University, where he was twice nominated for the Kent State University College of Business Administration Teaching Award.
His academic journey includes brief professional experiences as a financial analyst and accountant in the U.S. and England before pursuing his doctorate. His research explores the intersection of technology, accounting practices, and decision-making, contributing to both theoretical and practical advancements in the field.
