John J. Lynch is an Assistant Professor and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Accountancy at St. John’s University’s Peter J. Tobin College of Business. He holds an MBA from Pace University and a BBA in Accounting from St. Francis College. Prior to academia, Lynch was a retired Deloitte & Touche Partner, where he led financial services audits and served as a Professional Practice Director. He contributed to AICPA committees, including authoring sections of audit textbooks. Currently, he advises on audit-related litigation and teaches courses such as Auditing Concepts, Accounting Ethics, and Forensic Accounting.
His research focuses on audit and ethical issues in legal contexts. Lynch’s professional background includes significant industry experience in financial services auditing and regulatory compliance. He is affiliated with St. John’s Manhattan campus and can be contacted via university channels.
