Yeong C. Choi is a Professor of Accountancy at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business, St. John’s University. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Drexel University, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New Jersey and New York. His research focuses on enhancing accounting education systems, particularly bridging differences between U.S. and Korean curricula, and addressing discrepancies in financial accounting theories.

In 2019, he received St. John’s Tobin Pedagogical Research Award for his textbook clarifying financial accounting concepts in Korean education.
Professor Choi coordinates the 3+2 Joint Accounting Program with Yeungnam University (established 2001), advancing St. John’s global mission. He has presented work at forums like the American Accounting Association and Korean Accounting Information Association.
Teaching includes courses such as MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING (ACC 2340), FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING (ACC 2370), and COST ACCOUNTING (ACC 4345). His grants include Visiting Research roles at the Bank of Korea (2000) and Korean National Tax Administration (1996).
