Dr. Vinay M. Nadkarni is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and a key figure in pediatric resuscitation and global health. He is the Founding Director of the CHOP Academy for Resuscitation of Children and the Pediatric Global Resuscitation Alliance, and served as President of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (2023–2024). His work spans international collaborations in India and Ghana, focusing on improving emergency care systems and training.
His research interests center on critical care, emergency medicine, and resuscitation science, with a strong emphasis on global child health. He investigates barriers to care for critically ill children and develops scalable, low-cost training solutions such as telesimulation and community-based bleeding control programs. His work bridges clinical innovation with public health implementation in resource-limited settings.
