Vimal Balasubramaniam is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Finance at Queen Mary University of London's School of Economics and Finance, and a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford. His research focuses on household finance, asset pricing, applied microeconomics, tax policy, and behavioral economics, with notable contributions to understanding real estate taxation, financial education, and consumer grievance mechanisms in emerging economies.
