Vilma Sandström is a Researcher and Research Coordinator at the University of Helsinki's Department of Economics and Management, affiliated with the Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS). She focuses on enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration in food and water systems through her role in the Helsinki One Health and Helsinki Inequality Initiative networks. With a PhD in Environmental Science and Policy (2018) and M.Sc. (2013), her research emphasizes global material flows, food trade sustainability, and systems thinking.
