Vilde Lid Aavitsland

Dr. Vilde Lid Aavitsland is an Assistant Professor (Term) in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Louisville. She specializes in social/political philosophy and 20th-century continental thought, particularly the works of Hannah Arendt and Michel Foucault. Her research examines political judgment, historical conditions for action, and responsibility for historical injustices.

Current projects include manuscripts on Foucault's concept of history and Arendt's theory of political judgment, along with articles examining Foucault's approach to experience and critique.
