He serves as the Clinical Director of the Yale Fatty Liver Disease Program. His clinical expertise focuses on gastroenterology and hepatology, with a specialization in liver diseases, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and medical weight management. Dr. Gupta’s research interests span multiple myeloma, biomarkers in hematologic malignancies, and the intersection of liver disease with systemic physiology.
Education: MD and PhD from Duke University School of Medicine (2014), BS in Biology from Pennsylvania State University (2007). Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (2015–2016), Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College (2020).
Research Interests: His work explores cell biology of liver diseases, genomic determinants in multiple myeloma, and translational applications of biomarkers. Key areas include BCL2 inhibition for hematologic cancers, immune-aging in myeloma patients, and weight management strategies for liver health.
