Vijay Mookerjee

Vijay Mookerjee is the Charles and Nancy Davidson Chair Professor of Information Systems at the Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He serves as Director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program, PhD Programs, and the Center for the Management of Financial and Digital Asset Technologies (FD-Tech Center). His research focuses on fintech, artificial intelligence, and information systems, with notable work on digital commons, data cooperatives, and cybersecurity strategies.

Education: PhD in Information Systems from Purdue University (1991), MBA from Indian Institute of Management (1982), and BE from Nagpur University (1978). Courses taught include MIS 6204, MIS 7420, and DBU 7412.

Research interests span digital asset technologies, data monetization, and operational strategies in online markets. His work explores challenges like ad exchange mechanisms, cyber insurance efficacy, and cooperative resource allocation in agriculture.

Awards include the INFORMS ISS Distinguished Fellow (2011) and PhD Mentor of the Year (2000). His recent articles address real-time bidding dynamics, data cooperative sustainability, and cloud computing cost optimization.
