Atanu Lahiri

Dr. Atanu Lahiri is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. His research focuses on the economics of information systems, digital piracy, software security, and healthcare IT. He holds a PhD from the University of Rochester (2010), and prior degrees from IIM Calcutta and IIT Kanpur.

Recent work explores how bundling strategies affect piracy losses, implications of online physician reviews, and cybersecurity economics. His 2020 INFORMS ISS Early Career Award recognizes contributions to information systems research.

He directs the Graduate Certificate Program in Cybersecurity Systems and teaches courses in IT security and data warehousing. Notable awards include the 2021 HICSS Best Paper and multiple doctoral student collaboration awards.
