Victoria Tashjian is a Professor of History at St. Norbert College, affiliated with the Schneider School and the Department of History. She specializes in African history, women’s and gender studies, and peace and justice studies, with a focus on African American settlement in 19th-century northeast Wisconsin.

Her research explores intersections of colonialism, gender, and community-building in African and African American contexts. Recent work examines abolitionist figures like Byrd Parker and settler narratives in Wisconsin.
