Victoria Sanders is a Lecturer in French and Francophone Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she has taught since 2020. A Knoxville native, she holds advanced degrees from the University of Tennessee and University of Montevallo.
Her educational background includes:
- M.A. in French, University of Tennessee (2019)
- B.A. in French with minor in Environmental Studies, University of Montevallo (2017)
Her research bridges French and Francophone Studies with Environmental Studies and Gender Studies, evidenced by her Master's thesis analyzing gender role reversal, water crisis, and sacrifice in Jacques Roumain's Haitian novel Gouverneurs de la Rosée. She is currently developing a Humanitarian and Health French course, extending her focus to language applications in medical and crisis-response contexts.
