Victoria Sadovskaya is a Professor of Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Pennsylvania State University (since 2021), and currently serves as the Associate Head for Administration. She holds a Ph.D. (2000) and B.S. (1995) in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and St. Petersburg State University, respectively. Her research focuses on dynamical systems and ergodic theory, particularly smooth dynamics, rigidity of hyperbolic and partially hyperbolic systems, cocycles, and dimension theory.
She has held academic positions at the University of South Alabama (2003–2012) and the University of Michigan (2000–2003). Her work has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Simons Foundation. Notable awards include the 2022 C. I. Noll Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 2017 Donald C. Rung Award.
Her research contributions span global rigidity of toral automorphisms, cohomology of cocycles, and invariant metrics. She actively participates in academic service, including roles in curriculum development, honors coordination, and leadership in the Penn State WIM (Women in Mathematics) initiative.
