Dr. Victoria Remenda is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Geological Science and Geological Engineering at Queen's University. She holds a cross-appointment with the Beaty Water Research Centre and serves as Co-Chair of the GeoSciences Independent Advisory Group. Her research focuses on education systems, particularly field learning's impact on critical thinking and experiential learning.
Education: Ph.D. in Geology (1993) from the University of Waterloo.
Leadership roles include Associate Dean of Arts & Science (2015-2017), founder of Inquiry@Queen’s (longest-running undergraduate research conference in Canada), and department head since 2017. She has secured significant fundraising, hired seven faculty members, and directs the online Master of Earth and Engineering Resources Leadership program.
