Victoria Opara is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Leadership at Bath Business School, Bath Spa University, since 2013. She leads the 'Business and Management Research Project' module and serves as Undergraduate Link Tutor for the collaborative program with the Global Banking School, Malta.
- Education: PhD in Organisational Psychology (University of Exeter), MRes in Health and Wellbeing (University of Bath), MSc in International Business Management (Manchester Metropolitan University), BSc in Sports Science with Management (Loughborough University)
- Professional Memberships: Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Member of British Academy of Management, Member of European Academy of Management
Her research focuses on intersectional identity work, gender equality, racio-ethnic equality, workplace well-being, and leadership dynamics. She examines how marginalized identities navigate exclusion and perform identity flexing in professional contexts. Recent work explores virtual education agency, greenspace exclusion, and financial market interdependencies.
Her publications span organizational psychology, gender studies, and financial markets. Key themes include intersectionality, diversity management, and technological adaptations in research and teaching. She serves on editorial boards and as a journal reviewer.
Scientific Awards:
- Principal Investigator - British Academy Talent Development Award (2025-2026)
Victoria mentors students and contributes to external engagements as a keynote speaker and panel member in conferences addressing women in the workplace and diversity policy.
