Victoria Ivashina is the Lovett-Learned Professor of Finance and Head of the Finance Unit at Harvard Business School. She also serves as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and a member of the Model Validation Council at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

Her research focuses on financial intermediation, corporate credit markets, global banking operations, asset allocation by institutional investors, and value creation in private equity. She co-founded Harvard Business School's Private Capital Project and leads executive education programs in private equity. Her work analyzes the intersection between interest rate environments and private equity growth, corporate solvency challenges post-pandemic, and the dynamics of financial distress.
Her recent publications (2025–2020) examine high-yield debt covenants, global banking responses to monetary policy, credit market cyclicality, and private equity education frameworks. These works span keywords like Finance, Corporate Bond Markets, and International Economics, with subfields addressing debt structures, monetary policy spillovers, and institutional investment strategies.
