Dr. Victoria Greenacre is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, specializing in materials chemistry and electrochemistry. Her research focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced materials such as transition metal dichalcogenides, thermoelectric materials, and layered nanomaterials. She explores electrodeposition techniques for thin film fabrication and molecular scaffolds for radiolabeling applications. Her work spans interdisciplinary areas including inorganic chemistry, nanotechnology, and sustainable materials science.
Research Groups: Member of the Functional Inorganic, Materials and Supramolecular Chemistry group and the Sustainability and Materials research cluster.
Key Research Themes: Electrodeposition of 2D materials, thermoelectric properties of doped oxides, radiofluorination processes, and computational studies of metal complexes.
Publications: Recent contributions include studies on tungsten diselenide thin films, tellurium electrodeposition, and aluminum-doped zinc oxide thermoelectrics. Her work appears in journals like New Journal of Chemistry, Nature Reviews Chemistry, and Small Structures.
